About Jim Morgan

Jim Morgan states that "the goals in my work are relatively simple; to enjoy the process of painting and seeing, hopefully to gain emotional participation from the people who view the painting, and to help bring an awareness to others of the often overlooked intimate aspects of nature."

Currently living and painting in Mendon, Utah, Morgan's works have been included in a number of national exhibitions, including the Prix de West Invitational at the National Cowboy Hall of Fame, the Northwest Rendezvous Group, and the Artists of America Show in Denver, Colorado.

Morgan has received many prestigious awards at a variety of exhibitions throughout the country including the 1994 Robert M. Lougheed Memorial Award at the National Academy of Western Art in Oklahoma City, and the Red Smith Artists Choice Award in 1996 at the National Wildlife Art Museum in Jackson, Wyoming.
