Hollis Williford

As a native Texan, Hollis Williford began his study of art at the University of Texas at Arlington and finished with a degree from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. He left his successful illustration career in California to pursue new avenues of art and to be closer to the outdoor lifestyle of Colorado. Hollis Williford was well regarded as a versatile artist. He was a master draftsman, as well as painter and sculptor. Williford's work is in a many important private, corporate and museum collections, including the Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Cowboy Hall of Fame, Oklahoma City, the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, and the Denver Art Museum. His bronze monuments grace many public buildings throughout the United States. Sadly, Hollis died in January of 2007. His passing is a great loss to the art world.
